Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026. Smash Pest Control (ABN 29 690 300 979), Terrigal NSW, operates smashpest.com.au. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and your rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

What we collect

Contact details you give us when you call, text, email or submit a form (name, phone, email, service address, pest problem). Job records (treatment type, date, products used) for your treatment history and safety notices. Website usage data collected automatically by Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity (pages viewed, device, approximate location, referring site). Cookies used by those tools.

How we use it

To quote, book and perform pest control services; to send booking confirmations, safety data sheets and reminders; to respond to enquiries; to measure and improve our website and advertising; and to meet legal and licensing obligations (NSW EPA pesticide record keeping).

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business — accounting software, SMS and email providers, Google and Meta advertising platforms, and payment processors — and when required by law. Treatment records may be provided to a property owner or managing agent for the property we treated.

Social media and advertising

We use Facebook, Instagram and Google advertising. If you interact with our ads or pages, those platforms process your data under their own policies. You can manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Google account settings. Our Facebook app (Smash Pest Control Tools) is used only to publish our own posts and read our own page and ad statistics; it does not collect data from other users.

Storage and security

Data is stored in Australian and US-hosted systems (Wix, Google Workspace, QuickBooks, Twilio) protected by passwords and two-factor authentication. We keep job records for seven years as required by pesticide regulations, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or opt out of marketing messages, by contacting info@smashpest.com.au or 0447 088 762. We will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Data deletion

To request deletion of your data, email info@smashpest.com.au with the subject "Delete my data". We will confirm deletion within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep a record.
